What lies beyond Forest Lodge is the magic that is Black Mount & Rannoch Moor, a fantastic upland plateau of moorlands, rivers, burns & lochs. The distance from Forest Lodge to Blackrock Cottage is 8 miles with the Kings House Hotel nearby. I stopped for lunch at the Hotel before tackling the Devil’s Staircase & over to Kinlochleven.
